Propane gas is denser or heavier than air, delivered to your appliance in a concentrated form, which needs diluting before ignition. And Without a Propane Air Mixer Valve, the resultant flame will be very yellow.
Air mixers reduce the amount of soot caused by pure Propane and allow for better flame quality.
Venting in the base of the gas fire pit enclosure is required, specifically for air intake.
Note: Propane requires air to be mixed with the gas for it to burn properly. You will need to provide proper venting in the base of your gas fire pit to allow the orifice to draw in air, and for safety when using LP Liquid Propane gas.
